    Valentin Rongier’s house burgled during Marseille-PSG

    La Provence report today that Marseille midfielder Valentin Rongier’s house was burgled as he was playing against Paris Saint-Germain at the Vélodrome on Sunday night. Last night was the second time that the Frenchman’s home had been broken into in the space of a few months, with investigators from law enforcement now having arrived at the scene.     Five former Ligue 1 players sue Panini over image rights

    Le Parisien report that five former Ligue 1 players are suing Panini France over the use of their images in the famous sticker books. The group, which include a former French international but have decided to keep anonymous, are claiming sums ranging between €50,000 and €500,000 – depending on how much their respective images were used in different albums. Initial hearings will take place in January and February, with the specifics of the case expected to be worked out in late 2022.     PSG player Aminata Diallo in police custody over suspected link to Kheira Hamraoui assault

    L’Équipe report this morning that Paris Saint-Germain Féminines midfielder Aminata Diallo has been placed under police custody by investigators over a suspected link to the recent assault of teammate Kheira Hamraoui. The French international was arrested at her home early this morning by the Versailles judiciary police, after Hamraoui, who plays in the same position, was ambushed on the evening of November 4. A person close to Hamraoui explains that she was on her way back from a club event, accompanied by two teammates.     Julian Draxler withdraws from Germany squad with muscle injury

    Germany manager Hansi Flick has announced that Paris Saint-Germain midfielder has withdrawn from the national team set-up with a muscle injury, with the 28-year-old now returning to Paris. Draxler had been called up to the national team for the first time in a year ahead of the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Armenia. RMC Sport report that the former Schalke 04 and Wolfsburg man could be out for several weeks as a result of the setback.
