‘Senna’ producers choose actor who will portray F1 legend
Brazilian actor Gabriel Leone will portray F1 legend Ayrton Senna in the six-part Netflix miniseries currently in development and based on the life of the late three-time F1 champion. Described as Netflix’s “most ambitious series ever in Latin America,” the biopic devoted to the life of the great Ayrton Senna which was confirmed last summer has now entered pre-production and is expected to be released in 2024. The miniseries, which will be filmed in both Portuguese and English, will explore Sennas’ personality and family relationships, according to Netflix. Former Bordeaux winger Fernando Chalana passes away
Benfica have this morning announced the passing at the age of 63 of club legend Fernando Chalana, who also left his mark on French football in a three-year spell with Bordeaux. The winger spent 13 seasons with the Lisbon side, winning six league titles as well as the Portuguese cup on three occasions. During his time north of the Pyrenees, he was at Les Girondins during their golden era and won two Ligue 1 titles in his three years at the club. FIA to issue rule clarification in Melbourne after Alonso podium farce
The FIA has confirmed that a rule clarification related to the circumstances surrounding Fernando Alonso’s post-race penalty in Jeddah will be issued to teams ahead of next week’s Australian Grand Prix.
