Rennes have opened discussions with PSG over Arnaud Kalimuendo (20), who is also of interest to OGC Nice and Leeds United, according to L’Équipe. Kalimuendo’s PSG future remains unclear. Auxerre vying for Jean Marcelin return on loan from Monaco
According to L’Équipe AJ Auxerre are targeting a return for Monaco centre-back Jean Marcelin (22) on loan this season, after having sold the player to the principality side in January 2020 for a fee of €10m. The defender has a current deal that runs until 2024, but is yet to make his first appearance for Monaco’s senior side. Rennes have this morning unveiled the signing of Belgian international defender Arthur Theate from Bologna on a permanent deal, with the 22-year-old signing a four-year contract with the Breton club. As initially broken by journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the centre-back has joined on a fee of €20m along with a potential €2m in add-ons, with the Serie A side having initially rejected an offer worth €18m with bonuses included. Marseille reach agreement with Alexis Sánchez
Mohamed Bouhafsi reports this afternoon that Marseille have reached an agreement on personal terms with Alexis Sánchez, following the forward’s contract termination with Inter which was completed at the start of the week.
