Strasbourg in advanced talks to sign Karol Fila
L’Équipe report that Ligue 1 side Strasbourg are in advanced talks to sign 23-year-old Polish youth international right-back Karol Fila from Lechia Gdansk. Fila has 18 months remaining on his current contract with and is expected to cost around €2m. He is RCSA’s long-term replacement for Kenny Lala who joined Olympiakos in winter, after temporarily filling his spot with Aston Villa’s French right-back Frédéric Guilbert via a loan spell. André Onana has agreed terms with Lyon – agent
Dutch outlet NOS has spoken with Cameroonian international goalkeeper André Onana’s agent who has confirmed an agreement in principle between his client and Ligue 1 side Lyon over a possible summer move. Now OL have to find an agreement with Ajax. OL have convinced the 25-year-old to make the move on a 5-year contract until 2026, according to L’Équipe. Talks are now on between Ajax Director of Football Marc Overmars and Lyon Director of Football Vincent Ponsot to agree a fee. Like the rest of French football, Lyon are suffering a financial crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing TV rights debacle which left Ligue 1 with a mammoth shortfall. As such, L’Équipe report that OL’s deficit stretches to an estimated €185m having also failed to qualify for the Champions’ League. L’Équipe report this morning that Nice are set to carry on their summer business with the arrival of Caen midfielder Alexis Beka Beka. With several clubs interested in the French youth international, Christophe Galtier’s side are the player’s preference. The two clubs are currently in negotiations for Beka Beka, who is closing in on a move to Ligue 1 after completing his first full season in professional football last year.
