Tottenham ball boy wins fans for wasting time during Watford game before appearing to wink towards bench

Tottenham beat Watford 2-1 thanks to goals from Fernando Llorente and Heung-Min Son.

But the goal scorers were not the man of the match. In fact, according to the supporters below, it wasn’t even a member of the playing staff. It was the ball boy.

With Spurs in the lead at Wembley, having come from a goal down, the ball boy held onto the ball as Isaac Success tried to restart the game, but couldn’t.

Frustrated, he slammed the ball from the kid’s hand and received a yellow card for his action.

Tottenham’s ball boys have a history of providing entertainment, such as the young lad who threw the ball to Kostas Louboutis during a Europa League game against Anorthosis Famagusta in 2007.

Below, is a selection of comments on Twitter from fans who spotted the incident.

Not everyone saw the funny side, though.
