Chelsea and one other club bid for PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe

L’Équipe report this morning that Presnel Kimpembe’s future at Paris Saint-Germain remains in doubt, even if the defender is not particularly keen on leaving nor does the club want to sell their homegrown centre-half.

Nevertheless, given the lack of left-sided centre-backs in the market the World Cup winner has become the subject of interest from various clubs.

One offer has come in from Chelsea, for which the exact sum has yet to transpire, but was not enough for the PSG management to flinch. The Premier League side have been monitoring the Frenchman for a while, even before the arrival of his former manager Thomas Tuchel at the club.

A second offer has come in from an unnamed club, which was also deemed to be too low. Aside from these two bids, Atlético Madrid have also enquired over the feasibility of the move.

The 26-year-old, who has spent his entire career so far with his hometown club, had caused consternation last month when he declared that he wanted to meet with the new management at the club, and that he had come to a key moment in his career, perhaps hinting at a potential departure.
