Sportscaster & Ring Announcer Chet Coppock Dies

Wrestling INC. is reporting that Chicago sportscasting legend and WrestleMania 2 ring announcer Chet Coppock died yesterday, at the age of 70. The former-“Godfather of Sports Talk Radio” was the passenger in a car accident on Apr. 11th, in Hilton Head, SC.

Coppock was the ring announcer for the Chicago portion of WrestleMania 2, as well as the co-host of Radio WWF during WrestleMania X. WWE sent condolences to the sportscaster’s friends and family.
