    Here’s the pairings for the GAA football league semi-finals and relegation play-offs

    THE PAIRINGS HAVE been confirmed for the 2021 GAA football league semi-finals and relegation play-offs aross the four divisions, after the last set of games in the round-robin series concluded today. The games will take place on the weekend of 12-13 June with the dates, times and venues to be confirmed by the GAA’s CCCC tomorrow. The semi-finals winners in Division 2-4 will be promoted while the losers of the relegation play-offs in Division 1-3 will be relegated. The winners of the league semi-finals in each division will advance to the finals on the weekend of 19-20 June, provided there is no team involved that is playing championship on 26-27…

    Mixed news on injury front for Cork football duo Sheehan and Powter after Clare game

    CORK FOOTBALLER CIARAN Sheehan has suffered a fresh injury blow after damaging his knee in last Sunday’s league game against Clare, while the news is more positive about star defender Sean Powter who came off in the same game with a hamstring problem.     Kerry defender’s ban for Tyrone game upheld after hearing last night

    KERRY DEFENDER TADHG Morley is set to miss their football league semi-final, after his one-match was upheld following last Sunday’s red card against Roscommon. Morley requested a hearing which took place last night, after he had been sent-off in the second half of the game in Dr Hyde Park. The Central Hearings Committee (CHC) found the infraction – ‘behaving in any way which is dangerous to an opponent’ – proven and imposed the penalty of a one-match suspension.     Celtic agree ‘significant’ wage reduction with players and staff

    CELTIC PLAYERS AND coach Neil Lennon have taken a “significant reduction” in wages to help the club with the financial cost of the coronavirus, the Scottish champions announced on Friday.
