Jamie Vardy: The incredible record which will have Liverpool fearing Leicester City

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has claimed Leicester’s Jamie Vardy is a “fantastic striker” as the Reds prepare to take on the Foxes  – and you can understand why.

The 32-year-old is one of the most prolific players to have ever played against Liverpool since 1992.

He has scored the second most against Arsenal, averaging a goal every 108 minutes against the Gunners.

And his worst numbers comes against Chelsea but are still solid – having scored three times in matches against the west London outfit.

And if Liverpool fans are hoping Virgil van Dijk will save them, we’ve got news for them.

Vardy has the upper hand against the Dutchman, winning three and drawing two of the six matches he’s played opposite him, scoring twice.

Manchester City will be hoping Vardy can do them a favour after they slipped to defeat at the hands of Newcastle on Tuesday evening.
