Chelsea fans panic as Callum Hudson-Odoi is left out of squad for Bournemouth match; reports emerge of ‘transfer request punishment’

Callum Hudson Odoi was completely excluded from the Chelsea squad at Bournemouth on Wednesday night.

The 18-year-old winger has been at the centre of much transfer speculation this January with Bayern Munich making four bids to secure his services.

Hudson-Odoi rejected an £85,000-per-week contract offer from the Blues before handing in a transfer request.

However, Maurizio Sarri confirmed this week that the attacker will be staying put.

Now, just a day after he was referred to as the “future” of Chelsea, Callum Hudson-Odoi has not even made the bench for the club’s trip to the Vitality Stadium.

It’s been reported that the player is at the ground and not injured, while the Daily Mail claim his absence is a punishment – due to the club taking a dim view of his aforementioned transfer request.

Take a look at how Chelsea fans reacted to his omission below.
