Chelsea transfer news: Callum Hudson-Odoi ‘agrees to stay’ until summer amid Bayern Munich interest

Chelsea have reportedly convinced Callum Hudson-Odoi to stay at the club this month as they continue to resist interest from Bayern Munich.

The 18-year-old submitted a transfer request over the weekend to try and force a move to the German champions.

But the Mail Online reports that Hudson-Odoi has temporarily agreed to stay at the Blues after meetings between his representatives and club managing director Marina Granovskaia.

Chelsea will now spend the next four months trying to persuade Hudson Odoi to stay beyond the summer and sign a new five-year deal worth £80,000 a week.

Bayern have seen several bids for the talented teenage winger turned down and Chelsea have condemned the Bundesliga giants for their public approach to negotiations.

The winger is understood to believe that his development would be better served in the Bundesliga, following in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho.

In the summer, Hudson-Odoi will have just a year left on his current contract and Chelsea risk seeing his value drop by then.

He scored in the Blues’ 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup on Sunday but Maurizio Sarri has yet to start him in the Premier League.
