Tottenham had a €16m offer for Sofiane Boufal turned down on deadline day

According to our colleagues at Foot 365, Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur had a €16m offer for Lille’s attacking midfielder Sofiane Boufal turned down on deadline day of the previous summer transfer window.

It is believed that Spurs scrambled after realising that the Saido Berahino deal would not be completed. Lille remained firm, believing they can get a better offer for the player in the space of the next 12 months.

Tottenham remain interested in Boufal and may return in another transfer window.
