Official | Abdel Bouhazama named Angers head coach following interim spell
As announced via a club communiqué, Angers have named Abdel Bouhazama as their head coach following a spell as interim boss. The club say they are “satisfied” with the job that Bouhazama has done thus far, saying that he has created “a constructive atmosphere” in the dressing room with players “determined to fight to get out of the relegation zone.”

The SCO sacked manager Gérald Baticle during the winter break following a run of seven consecutive defeats in Ligue 1, with key players in Sofiane Boufal and Azzenine Ounahi set to also leave the club shortly.
Angers currently sit bottom of Ligue 1 with only eight points, their last victory spans back to September over OGC Nice. Following the implementation of Abdel Bouhazama as interim boss, the club has lost both post-World Cup fixtures against Lorient and Ajaccio – yet the board have seen enough progress to offer a permanent job to the former youth and academy manager.
