Brock Lesnar Possibly Not Appearing at WWE SummerSlam, Everything We Know About His Current Status

As the story continues to unfold on-screen and off-screen as it pertains to Brock Lesnar, the latest word as of earlier this week was that everything we have seen on WWE TV in the past two weeks has been storyline oriented, and Lesnar is expected to have his next WWE Universal Title defense at SummerSlam.

However, during today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Live, host Bryan Alvarez noted, via PWInsider.com Elite Audio, that Lesnar’s WWE SummerSlam status is now once again up in the air.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported on his Elite Audio show that he has been told by sources that Brock Lesnar is not working SummerSlam this year, which would leave Raw’s top Title undefended at one of the biggest PPV events of the year.

Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that as of two days ago Lesnar had not been booked for SummerSlam, and his status is very much in question.

Dave Meltzer also Tweeted the following, corroborating that as of this writing Lesnar’s SummerSlam status is “to be determined”.

The feeling remains that it would seem impossible for Brock Lesnar not to defend Raw’s top title at one of WWE’s big four PPV events, and WWE might be trying to swerve fans with Lesnar’s status as a way of building up Roman Reigns to be the babyface the company desires, but as of this writing, it appears as if Lesnar is not booked for SummerSlam.
