Wilfried Zaha: Borussia Dortmund could break transfer record to sign Crystal Palace star

Borussia Dortmund are understood to be ready to break the bank to land Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha in the summer.

The Bundesliga leaders are in search of a replacement for Christian Pulisic, who has joined Chelsea for £58m.

Dortmund are believed to have made contact with Zaha’s representatives and Palace, according to The Guardian, are likely to ask them to hand over £50m for the 26-year-old, who signed a new contract last August.

The German side’s transfer record is the €30m paid for Andre Schurrle in 2016, but they have since sold Ousmane Dembele for £96m, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for £56m in addition to Pulisic.

Zaha, who had an unsuccessful spell at Man United between 2013 and 2015, is understood to be open to the idea of playing in Germany as well as the Champions League.
