Four people arrested for affray before Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur as huge brawl erupts outside Stamford Bridge
Four people were arrested on Thursday as thugs clashed before Chelsea faced Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday night.
The Carabao Cup semi-final, which was won by the Blues on penalties, was an extremely entertaining affair.
However, fan footage from before the game has shown hooligans trading punches as running battles erupted outside of Stamford Bridge.
One shocking clip shows a black-clad man being punched to the floor – before he gets up and charges at the bunch of fans who knocked him down.
Another man lies prone on the grounds as thugs fill him in with kicks and punches.
Police officers can be seen desperately trying to restore order as the braying mobs attempt to pound each other on the pavement.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “Four people were arrested at the Tottenham vs Chelsea match at Chelsea Football Club on Thursday, 24 January.
“At approximately 19:30hrs, four men were arrested on suspicion of affray.
“They have since been released with no further action.” Check out the exclusive footage from Vintage Terrace below.
