Andy Carroll: West Ham striker puts nine-bedroom Essex mansion up for sale as he nears end of Hammers contract

West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has put his house up for sale as he prepares for a probable exit from the club in the summer.

Carroll, 30, is out of contract at the end of the season and is not expected to be offered fresh terms on a new deal at the London Stadium.

The former Newcastle and Liverpool forward will not be leaving the club this month though, with the Hammers short on attacking options.

However, Carroll certainly appears to be planning for his future elsewhere after deciding to sell his nine-bedroom mansion in Essex.

The home, which he shares with reality TV star fiancee Billi Mucklow, has been put on the market with an asking price of a whopping £5million – the details of which are listed on Rightmove.co.uk

Estate agents John Thoma describe the home “as a spectacular nine bedroom property set in over one acre of private gated landscaped grounds…

“This home has over 8,000 sq ft of luxurious living space and includes an amazing huge open plan bespoke kitchen/breakfast/ living room, a cinema room, lounge, dining room/orangery, annexe with games room with bar.”

Tottenham had been tipped to make a shock move for the former England striker this month following an injury to Harry Kane.

A cut-price £2m deal was mooted, but the east London side are unlikely to sanction a deal as things stand.

A move abroad to America could also be tempting for the attacker, should an option arise.

Carroll’s only goal this season came earlier this month when he notched West Ham’s winner in a 1-0 win against Birmingham in the FA Cup third round.
