Lorient sack Sylvain Ripoll

FC Lorient will announce the sacking of manager Sylvain Ripoll in the coming minutes, according the various news reports.

Ripoll was informed of the decision this morning and leaves the club the day after losing to newly promoted side Dijon.

Lorient have won just twice in 10 matches and find themselves at the bottom of the Ligue 1 table.

According to L’Équipe, Lorient have multiple candidates to replace him in mind and have already met with some.
