Rennes enter the race for Arnaud Kalimuendo
Rennes have opened discussions with PSG over Arnaud Kalimuendo (20), who is also of interest to OGC Nice and Leeds United, according to L’Équipe.
Kalimuendo’s PSG future remains unclear. Despite a successful spell on loan at RC Lens last season, Kalimuendo could still be heading for the exit door. Questioned on his future during the club’s pre-season tour of Japan, Christophe Galtier said, “I’m more than happy with him. He’s doing great, but then there’s the market. We’ll see the club’s and the player’s decision.”
The €20m-rated France U21 international has been heavily linked with Leeds and an agreement between the side’s was reportedly close. L’Équipe have reported that Leeds have indeed submitted an offer, but the player is yet to agree terms with the Premier League side.
Nice are also interested, and there is a new rival for his signature in the form of Breton side Rennes. According to L’Équipe, “talks between the two parties have already taken place.”
